What Does "Rajya Lottery" Mean?
"Rajya" means "state" in Hindi — so "rajya lottery" is the generic Hindi term people use for India's government-run state lotteries. It is not the official name of one single draw. When someone searches for the rajya lottery result, they are usually looking for the day's state lottery winning numbers.
State lotteries are legal in the Indian states that permit them, and each is run by its state government's lottery department. The best-known state lottery series include the Nagaland Dear Lottery (whose announcements are called Lottery Sambad), the Sikkim state lotteries, the West Bengal state lotteries and the Kerala state lotteries (such as Win-Win, Karunya and Akshaya).

Which States Run Lotteries?
As of recent years, lotteries are permitted in states including Nagaland, Sikkim, West Bengal, Kerala, Maharashtra, Goa, Punjab, Mizoram, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Assam. Whether you may buy a ticket or participate depends on the laws of the state you are in — always check local rules first. Tickets are paper tickets sold by authorized sellers only; no state lottery sells tickets online.
